Our hair slayers blur the lines between imagination and creation. Years of dedicated training has allowed their talents to stretch across the board without limitations. If you can envision it, they can achieve it.
“My name is Brandi Bravos and I was born and raised in Ocean Beach. Doing hair is something I’ve always wanted to do. I walked by The Electric Chair when I was 5 years old and told my mom I was going to work there one day. It’s amazing that I do now and have been here for 4 years. As a stylist here I specialize in dreads and dread removals. I love doing fun colors as well!”
“I have been doing hair at the Electric Chair for 20+ years. I like to think that even as a staple stylist here I still bring a lot of spunk and eccentric styles to my clients and also the other girls. I consider customer service a big part of my job and that is why I treat all my clients like family. I am known in Ocean Beach as the lady with the two beautiful doberman pinschers, Polo and Rihanna, my pride and joy. I’m Great Lengths certified and also specialize in colors.”
“I began my hairdressing career in 2006 as an assistant to the world renowned Toni & Guy Salon. I dedicated myself to this company for over a decade, giving them excellence, sheer heart and soul.
During my exposure, I worked with some of the industry’s most successful and influential figures. As my career progressed, I decided to move to London and join the session styling team for London Fashion Week. My passion for hair and fashion developed as my career progressed in London.
Last year I made the decision to move back to my hometown of San Diego where I began working for The Electric Chair. Over the years I’ve spent a lot of time managing salons and working reception which is also another rewarding aspect of my job. Customer service has been a huge part of my success. Customer service comes from the heart. If you are the most caring, loving person you can possibly be, then to serve someone comes naturally. As a cutting specialist, I now want to focus my time on building my clientele and providing a premier experience. Now is the time to absorb and contribute to the amazing Electric Chair spirit.”
“Beauty has always been my passion. I love making people feel and look beautiful, while expanding my own skills. I really enjoy working with color and trying new things. I was born and raised in San Diego, and I love working in Ocean Beach! I am so happy to be a part of The Electric Chair because we receive excellent education and we are a great team. I’m learning more and more every day, and I am so excited for all that is to come!”
“I’m a crazy cat lady who does hair so my cat can have a better life. I’ve been doing hair for 9 years and can’t see myself doing anything else. I love a challenge and I’m always up for creating something new, fun and trendy.”
“My preferred works include precision hair cutting, fantasy color, balayage highlights, and makeup, but I also love learning and experimenting with new techniques. I’m energetic and eccentric with a great sense of humor. Although I am humble in most respects, I take great pride in my work. Nonetheless, I appreciate constructive criticism as I'm always trying to perfect my craft.
Outside of the salon I am an artist. I generally draw and ink, but I’d like to expand into different mediums. I’m also a member of The Wilds Renaissance Guild.
My ultimate goal is to build up a loyal client base, improve my reputation through my work, and continue my education.”
“I started doing hair in 2013 when I began my training with the amazing Toni & Guy Academy in London. After graduating with a degree in Haircutting and Colour, I was asked to work in the flagship store alongside Toni himself. I quickly developed a love for braiding and avant garde, working on many magazine editorials with some incredible stylists and colorists.
I really love doing blonding and vivid colours with creative haircuts. However, I also enjoy keeping it mellow when necessary! My main objective in hairdressing is for my customers to leave feeling beautiful, with a smile on their face. In my opinion, hair is something that can help to contribute to “self love.”

As a master stylist at The Electric Chair, Tamara enjoys collaborating with her peers and is newly the teams in-house educator. “I am mostly self-taught but I do seek regular education and I thrive off of sharing information with other stylists, and if it helps them in one way or another thats a plus!”

“I am a deaf/hard of hearing Hair Slayer hellbent on defying the idealized standards of beauty. I find inspiration from the colors that I witness everyday and the people that I meet in music, politics, and the arts. I am a color specialist with a focus towards corrective color, blonding services, and vivid hair. I’ve been creating art on hair canvases for 6 years and I am absolutely passionate about what I do. What I don’t have in hearing, I make up for with creativity; color is the same in every language.
Outside of the industry I play music, read way too much, and listen to thrash, hardcore, and power violence. Some of my favorite artists are Beethoven and every kid that plays music in the hopes of trying to change the world. I have a message for all of you by courtesy of one of my favorite writers, E.E. Cummings: “To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.”
